Stressed. I really am. I'm strongly debating on buying a PS3 or not. I mean after you buy the system and one game it's around 715 dollars. I'm a Nintendo fan all the way and I love the Wii, but eventually I'll need a PS3(because of the Final Fantasy series) That however is the least of my problems. I have $5,000 worth of credit card debt and, oh yeah, I need a new car.
So basically selling my book would do me wonders. I really need to work on getting the EOD's myspace friend count up, but I really don't want to be one of those people who go around saying "Oh hey, this person breaths, I'll send a friend request."
Well I was just writing for the sake of writing. Supposably it's good for a writer to keep a daily journal. On a side note, I'm pretty psyched for Pirates 3 this weekend. I'll write a review for it sometime after I see it. Ok, if anyone actually reads this, I hope you have a good day.
My adventure begins here and will one day end on the pages in your hands. - Andy

Andrew,
My feeling--getting a game console will hurt your productivity. It's hard enough to find time to write without distracting yourself with a super-powered game machine. If I could ween myself off of television, I think I'd get about ten times as much writing done. That's just my opinion, though. I could be wrong. If you need the games to blow off some steam...
As far as banking on money from a sold manuscript, man, I thought that way once. I wish you luck, but it generally doesn't work that way. It usually takes years of pain to get there. When I left school, I thought I'd be looking at my novels on the shelves of the supermarket within a few years. I didn't know much about the publishing industry then. I was very innocent.
I'm not trying to get you down, just clue you in that it's much harder than most people think it is. Maybe you'll be the exception. It seems like you're aware of marketing in a way I never was at your age.
In any case, write well.
Hey Patrick,
Sorry for the time gap in replying; I had no idea there were comments on my blogs. I've always been into video games, and getting a new system definitly wouldn't kill my time. I have the new Nintendo system and I don't let it suck my time up. Lately it's school, work, and family stuff that's been making my schedule chaotic. I'm really good about limiting my time on things such as that though. In a whole year I probably watch about 10 hours of television, no kidding.
But about banking on my manuscript. I have heard from countless people that a writers life is tough and not easy to make money(especially at first). I just try to stay positive. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make it.
I do appreciate the comment though. I hope life is treating you fairly. Take it easy - Andy
